Day 1: Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Today marks the start of an exciting adventure with Kamere Tours as we set out early in the morning for the Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari. Our journey takes us through the picturesque Ugandan countryside, where we’ll enjoy scenic views of charming villages nestled amidst vibrant greenery. Along the way, we can’t help but admire the lively roadside markets bursting with fresh fruits and vegetables.
Our first significant stop is Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where we’ll embark on a thrilling rhino trekking expedition guided by Kamere Tours’ knowledgeable experts. The duration of our trek may vary, ranging from a few minutes to an hour, depending on the location of the rhinos within the sanctuary. Prior to our adventure, a ranger guide will provide us with an insightful briefing about the sanctuary’s history, the rhinos, and essential safety measures. As we trek through the bush, we’ll have the incredible opportunity to observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitat—a truly exhilarating experience.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on the River Nile
After an early breakfast, our driver-guide wills pick you up from the lodge to start our game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. Known for its rich biodiversity, the park features various tracks that wind through savannah and woodlands. As we explore, we encounter a variety of wildlife, including giraffes gracefully roaming the grasslands, herds of buffaloes, and grazing antelopes like Jackson’s hartebeest and Uganda kobs. With some luck, we may even spot lions resting in the shade or stalking their next meal. The park’s vibrant birdlife adds to the experience, with numerous species visible along the way. After a thrilling morning of wildlife viewing, we return for lunch.
In the afternoon, we embark on a boat safari along the River Nile. This relaxing cruise allows us to observe hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitats. We continue to the base of Murchison Falls, known as the ‘Devil’s Cauldron,’ where the river thunders through a narrow gorge. The close-up view of the falls is stunning and provides excellent photo opportunities.

Day 3: Transfer to Kampala
On our final day, our driver-guide will take you to the top of Murchison Falls. Here, the Nile’s full force is funneled through a 7-meter gap, creating one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world. The sight and sound of the roaring water are truly awe-inspiring, often accompanied by a vibrant rainbow in the mist.
After soaking in the breathtaking views and snapping some photos, we’ll start our journey back to Kampala. The drive offers a chance to once more enjoy Uganda’s scenic countryside and possibly spot more wildlife along the way.
