Do not close your eyes.

G-SNAKE
This is real. She is real and the snake is real.
G-Snake is a Ugandan artist who dances and plays with snakes.
This artiste is fast making a name for herself because of her love for snakes. She steps on stage with a black cobra. From a distance, I thought it was a toy snake geared by batteries from the way it played around her neck.

The debate had always been whether G Snake’s [Sarah Namukwaya] snakes are real, until the fashion night at Silk Lounge where a black cobra escaped from her hands and had revellers scampering wildly.

Now in her first music video Sorry I Hurt You, Namukwaya is seen romancing a massive python, and it looks like the lyrics are directed to it. But then she sings about giving birth and being a faithful lover. In her Noonya video again she is seen playing and dancing with snakes almost her size, as she searches for a lost love. But as she continued performing and stepping into the crowd, a fan she was dancing with let curiosity get the better of him and, wanting to prove whether the snake was real, touched it. The man screamed and ran for his life.

This excited the snake and somehow it slipped from its keeper’s hands onto the floor and started crawling into the crowd. Had the club been as packed as it usually is someone would have died during the stampede that ensued.

I had never seen half naked women run that fast in high heels!Photographers had a field day snapping away at exposed underwear of revelers running away from the advancing Cobra, but had to go scampering for their dear life too. Not one person was brave enough to stand still, grab a chair and kill the trespassing Cobra.

When G Snake eventually retrieved it from the floor, she advised people not to play with snakes and told the remaining patrons how she had been bitten by snakes a number of times despite having the rare ability to talk to them. She says she keeps snakes as pets and has a strong devotion to them.

Her Cobra is as popular as herself. The G-Snake reptile Queen has warned haters to back off as she is not about to end the love she has for snakes. The python she sings with was a Valentine’s Day gift from her boyfriend and she has since acquired certification from the Uganda Wildlife Authority to move with it in her Lexus RX 300.
She claims to be able to communicate with the serpents.
