Air Connect Namibia welcomes the introduction of the route, which will increase regional integration, as FLY Angola connects Windhoek in Namibia with Luanda, Angola’s capital.
On 21 December 2024, FLY Angola started to operate a thrice-weekly service, connecting the Luanda International Airport to the Hosea Kutako International Airport via the Benguela Catumbela Airport in Angola.
Luanda is Angola’s most populous city, with over eight million inhabitants.
The city is known for its beautiful beaches, including the famous Luanda Island Beach, a popular tourist destination.
The new route will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Benguela is a coastal town located in southern Angola.
It is known for its beautiful beaches, including the popular Baía Azul beach.
The town also has important industrial facilities, such as the Lobito Refinery.
Visitors to Benguela can enjoy delicious seafood, explore the surrounding natural beauty, and experience the rich local culture.

Air Connect Namibia, established in 2024 and led by the NAC, is a collaborative air service development initiative mandated to improve air access to the country.
Project stakeholders include the NAC, Gondwana Collection, Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board, Walvis Bay Corridor Group, Namibia Tourism Board and the City of Windhoek.
The initiative is committed to assisting and supporting carriers who service the country’s international airports. FLY Angola was founded in August 2018 by a group of visionary Angolan businessmen.
Its objective is to face the challenge of boosting safe air traffic for passengers and cargo, thus contributing to the dynamism of the Angolan economy, and empowering people by connecting them with the best that Angola has to offer.
